Corpus Christi Police have evidence of State School employees allegedly caught in the act of urging mentally challenged residents of the school to fight each other, and police say they have disturbing cell phone video of the disabled patients fighting each other. An anonymous person turned in the video to an off-duty CCPD officer at a local hospital.
Warrants were issued for six of those state school employees. They're being charged with injury to a disabled person. One has been arrested; so far three more have notified Corpus Christi Police they will surrender.
CCPD, the Nueces County District Attorney, Adult Protective Services, and the office of Inspector General are all investigating. Police say they know when the taped incident took place, but are not releasing dates or the video.
