The Noah Project recognized their new executive director Tuesday night.

Hundreds of residents gathered at the Abilene Civic Center Tuesday night to welcome Leigh Ann Fry with a St. Patrick's Day dinner.

The Noah Project is an agency that works to help victims of family violence. Fry says she became familiar with the Noah Project while working in Goldthwaite in a similar organization.

She starts her tenure as executive director June 1st. She says her biggest goal is to remodel.

Along with introducing Fry, the Noah Project also threw a little fun into the mix. Abilene Mayor Norm Archibald, along with two former mayors, were roasted with friendly humor during the dinner.

All proceeds from Tuesday's dinner roast will go to the Noah Project and the families they help.
