President Obama announced that his administration was considering a bill that would cut veteran health benefits.

The proposal would have meant that all veterans, currant and future, would have to pay for any and all medical bills relating to injuries they received on the line of duty, through private insurance companies.

President Obama's administration said that it would have freed up over $500 million.

The American Legion sought out and spoke with the President begging him to reconsider his proposal: which he did.

Earlier today President Obama said that he is withdrawing his proposal to cut veteran's health care spending.
