Bike riders burned rubber all afternoon in Abilene today.
It was the 17th Annual Steam-n-Wheels bike race and fun ride sponsored by the City of Abilene's Recreation Division and the Abilene Bicycling Club. The 48-mile race began at 10:00 Saturday morning, and riders crossed the finish line a few hours later.

35-39 Male - Eric Burkhart 35-44 Female - Deb Manley
45-59 Male - Lance Slack 45 and Over Female - Iris Stagner
50-54 Male - Chris Watson Tandem - Kirk Merrell / Ciana Merrell
55-59 Male - John Colburn
There were also 32 and 21 mile fun ride courses and a bicycle rodeo and tour for kids.
