A Craig keyboarding teacher has earned special recognition for streamlining the way 8th graders fill out their 4-year-plans before entering high school.
Teacher, Rebecca Rampy used Gaggle to allow students to select from 32 plans which reflect certain educational pathways students can pursue once entering Abilene High. School.
Gaggle is an internet site used to allow student's access to save email accounts, along with other useful tools and software for the classroom.
After students selected their plan, the student's parents could view the plan via their child's "Digital Locker."
After discussing the plan with their child and making any necessary changes, the plan was sent to Abilene High School counselors.
This process saved a great deal of time and frustration for students, parents, and councilors compared to the old way of processing and changing student career pathway plans which used to involve quite a bit of backtracking before finalizing the plan.
Far January and February of this year, Mrs. Rampy's design was selected as one of the top entries in the Gaggle Curriculum Contest.
Plans are already underway to further the effectiveness of the process next year.
