Roger Brecheen was sentenced to 48 years in prison for the murder of his son, Mike McMullen.

2:05 p.m. Update:
After hearing closing arguments this morning, a Taylor County jury quickly handed down a guilty verdit for Roget Brecheen, who stabbed his son to death in 2007.

Sentencing is now underway.

Brecheen's wife took the stand during the trial, admitting to having a sexual relationship with the victim, Mike McMullen.  In her testimony, she said she and her husband were arguing after a night of drinking at a local bar.  McMullen stepped in to stop the fight, and that's when Brecheen stabbed him, she said.  She was the only witness.

At one point during the trial, jurors watched the dash cam video as one officer arrested Brecheen while another worked to revive McMullen.

Brecheen pleaded not guilty, claiming self defense.
