"Choose Life" License Plates in Panel

By: Import User
Updated: April 2, 2009
The House Transportation Subcommittee on License Plates will consider "Choose Life" plates for Texas, like the ones pictured.

Officials say the license plate would cost $33, and $22 of the sale would be given to nonprofit charitable organizations that provide counseling and cover material and health care costs for pregnant women considering adoption.

If passed, House Bill 109 would add Texas to a list of 19 other states that already have a "Choose Life" license plate to promote adoption.

The national organization, Choose Life Inc., is trying to get "Choose Life" plates in all 50 states.
