By: Jennifer Stuckey, APD
Updated: April 3, 2009
At 9:00 yesterday morning, Officer Barry Bond was called to the 2700 block of South 1st Street. The reporting party stated that sometime early that morning unknown subjects crawled under the building in the crawl space area and drilled and cut an approximately 12 x 16 inch hole in the floor to gain entry into the building. Approximately $667 in alcohol was taken. The business is willing to prosecute if the subjects can be identified.

Then at 6:40 last night, Officers Hearn and Holmes obtained information about two subjects and their vehicle that had been involved in a theft of beer at a convenience store on ES 11th Street. The subjects were located in Nelson park with the beer in the vehicle. An 18 year old white male admitted to taking the beer and a 36 year old white male admitted to driving the get-a-way car. Witnesses to the theft identified both men and they were arrested for the theft.
