For Monday's Opening Day, the Rangers host the Indians and pre-game
festivities will include a fly-over by two B-1 Bombers from Dyess Air
Force Base. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by former President George W. Bush who was Managing General Partner of the Rangers from 1989 to 1994.
With Monday's Season Opener coming in the midst of the worst recession in recent memory, the Rangers are unveiling some new family-friendly prices for tickets, parking and ballpark food.
The team is offering ticket and parking discounts for Friday nights, along with several food packages at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
There will be twelve Fantastic Fireworks Fridays with tickets usually going for $25 on sale for $10s. Parking for those games will be $5, less than half the normal charge.
The team is also offering several Value Meals. For example, a hot-dog-chips-and-soda meal will go for less than $6, almost $4 off the regular price.
