A father in Texas has been arrested for allegedly trying to "beat the demons" out of his three-year-old son.

Harris County officials arrested Jacky Tran after responding to a call today and forcing their way into Tran's home where they found his son severely beaten.

Neighbors say Tran threw furniture and belongings out of the home and onto the front yard on Wednesday because he thought demons were in the house.

The boy is suffering from skull fractures and other injuries but he's listed in good condition.

Child protective services have placed the boy's 4-year-old sister in a foster home.

Tran is being held on $100,000 bail and is due in court on Monday.

According to authorities, the boy's eyes were swollen shut, his head was maroon from the beating, and he was unable to speak.
