TEA Has Stimulus Advice for Schools

The Texas Education Agency has released guidance to school districts with recommendations on how to use the stimulus funds that target economically disadvantaged students and those served by special education programs.
Texas Education Commissioner Robert Scott is urging every Texas school district to invest the funds in creative and innovative ideas that will provide for long-term stability.
Texas expects to receive nearly $969 million in supplemental federal funds for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act programs and about $1.2 billion for school improvement grants.
