TEA Has Stimulus Advice for Schools

The state of Texas expects to receive a total of about $6.2 billion in federal stimulus funds for education.
The Texas Education Agency has released guidance to school districts with recommendations on how to use the stimulus funds that target economically disadvantaged students and those served by special education programs.
Texas Education Commissioner Robert Scott is urging every Texas school district to invest the funds in creative and innovative ideas that will provide for long-term stability.
