What's the Deal with the New Tech HS?

AISD's new science and math academy opening in the fall has a lot of parents asking questions.
The Director of NTHS@ACU, John M. Martinez, is putting together a series of forums called TechTalk to help address parents' and students' curiosity about the new program.
The first class will consist of 100 9th graders. Curriculum will be based on that of the New Tech Foundation, which uses project-based learning.
The Texas Education Agency awarded AISD a grant of nearly $500 thousand for the "T-STEM" academy.

- April 14 Parent Informational Session (including a student panel from NTHS @ Coppell) at Hunter Welcome Center at ACU, 7:30-8:30pm
- April 16 TechTalk (parent session) Mann Middle School Auditorium, 7:00pm
- April 21 TechTalk (parent session) Madison Middle School Auditorium, 6:00pm
- April 23 TechTalk (parent session) One AISD Center, Board Room, 6:00pm
