From cheesy commercials to drug store shelves, Chia-Pets have been around for decades.

But it's what's new in the popular pottery-plant that's raising some eyebrows.

The latest offering from Chia comes in two different styles: Happy Obama and Determined Obama.

After complaints they're offensive, Walgreen's pulled them off the shelves.

In a statement the drugstore says: "We decided to pull the product because we didn't want to be subject to any misinterpretation over it. People could interpret it through a political viewpoint or other viewpoints and we want to avoid that situation."

The barbers who work at President Obama's Hyde Park Barber Shop and tended to his hair before his move to the White House weren't big fans of the Chia look.

Some of the customers took one look and were flat out insulted.

"I don't approve of that!" said Vontrell William. "Does Obama look like a Chia Pet to you?"
