Business school gets re-affirmationAbilene Christian University's College of Business Administration (COBA) remains in an exclusive circle of business schools with a recent re-accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
Only five percent of business schools in the world hold the accreditation, according to a press release from ACU.
“In my opinion, if you want to suggest that you have a world class academic program, you must be willing to meet the 27 quality standards found in the AACSB framework,” Dr. Rick Lytle, dean of the College of Business Administration at ACU said in the release.
To become re-accredited, the AACSB conducted a five-year review of the program.
AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide, according to its Web site.
New minor program offered at ACU
Beginning in the fall, ACU will offer a minor in peace and social justice.
Dr. David Dillman, professor of political science will serve as adviser for the 18-hour credit minor.
“A significant component of educating students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world should be education for peacemaking,” Dillman said in a press release. “This new minor focuses on the study of the many facets of peace which are central to both service and leadership in a world torn by division and conflict.”
