Sarah Hare always files her taxes in March, except for this year
when the time flew by without her sending in her tax return.

Sarah's like thousands of others who waited until today, the deadline to file.

According to tax specialist Larry Carpenter, at H&R Block, more people than ever are filing late, mostly because of the recession.

You have until midnight tonight to postmark your return, or file an extension.

But if you owe money, not sending in your taxes doesn't mean that the IRS will forget about you and if you're suppose to get a return and don't send in your taxes, then you will lose that extra money.
