APD: Couldn't Out-Run the Cops

 On Thursday, at about 11:00 P.M., Officers Brannon and Herd stopped a vehicle in the 5200 block of Questa in reference to a shots fired call. As the vehicle came to a stop, the driver, a 20 year old black male, ran on foot from the vehicle. The suspect also dropped a handgun as he ran from the police. The suspect couldnt outrun the police and he was arrested for Evading Arrest, Unlawful Carrying Of A Weapon, Minor In Possession, and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.

This morning, at about 3:15, Officer Guitar stopped a vehicle in the 3000 block of South 28th in reference to a trouble with subject call. The driver, a 22 year old white male, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated With An Open Container. The suspect provided a breath specimen that was more than 2.5 times over the legal limit.
