Five Louisiana teenagers and the owner of a Covington jewelry store are facing charges after filming a fake robbery as part of a school project.
Witnesses called police when they saw what they thought was a robbery taking place at the Expressions in Gold jewelry store on Monday.
A SWAT team consisting of ten officers and a sniper responded to the scene.
Store owner Janet DeLuca tried to explain the situation to police, but she and the five teens were arrested on charges of criminal mischief and disturbing the peace.
A sixth teenager involved in the incident was turned over to his parents.
Additional weapons charges may be filed.
The teens were using real, although unloaded, guns as props.
