Many gun enthusiasts are concerned that President Obama may impose legislation that would make it difficult to purchase a gun, so gun owners are stocking up on guns and ammunition, and it's not just current gun owners. Many people are going out and purchasing a weapon for the first time.
Zachariah Rose, from the Abilene Indoor Gun Shop, says that people are purchasing smaller guns that are easier to conceal.
Rose says that from last year at this time till today, concealed hand gun classes have tripled in size.
State wide from February 2008 till February 2009 applications for concealed handguns nearly doubled from 7,000 to 13,000,
and FBI background checks jumped 29% in the past year.
