Zoo Changes

New exhibits are in the works for the Abilene Zoo and some will be open sooner than you think.

Right now, zoo employees are working hard to make changes in the rhino exhibit and within the next month they are hoping to bring in another rhinoceros so "Roo" can have a little friend.

They are also fixing up the old hyena exhibit for a White Bengal Tiger, that they are getting from Busch Gardens in Florida.
