It has a been a concern for many people: swine flu. President Obama weighed in on the issue today stating, ""we are closely monitoring the emerging cases of swine flu in the United States. This is obviously a cause for concern and requires a heightened state of alert, but it is not a cause for alarm."
So, just what is "swine flu"?
It's found in pigs; however, it appears people aren't getting the virus from contact with pigs.
Health officials say it's spreading by human-to-human contact.
It's highly contagious, and can spread when someone sneezes.
If you aren't sick, experts say wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
If you're not sure if you have it, here are some symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, aches and chills.
Doctors say Relenza and Tamiflu are good treatments.
They also say stay indoors for at least 7 days.
