Rep. Chuck Jefferson Wins the 68th district Democratic Primary, again

With 99-percent of the local precincts reporting, 11-year veteran Representative Chuck Jefferson has won the 67th district Democratic primary, beating his opponent, Gloria Lind.  Jefferson had 81-percent of the votes to Lind's 19-percent.

Jefferson says being able to continue working for people in Springfield beings him a lot of joy, and says the amount of support he got during this primary shows that people believe he is working hard for them.

"To be able to help some of those people and individuals until they get better, and they will get better, it's a great feeling for me, but more importantly going back to spring field and addressing all issues as it relates to the state of Illinois," said Jefferson.
