Over the weekend, Officer Wilson stopped a vehicle in the 3100 block of South Danville. The license plate on the vehicle was so bent up that it was unreadable. The driver, a 24 year old white male, did not have current proof of insurance. When informed that he would be receiving a citation for the insurance offense, the subject created a disturbance to the degree he was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. The subject was also made to post bond on the license plate and insurance offenses.Officer Hogue contacted two subjects in the 800 block of East Highway 80. As Officer Hogue spoke with the subjects, a vehicle drove by the location and dropped a beer bottle onto the roadway. Officer Hogue stopped the vehicle and the driver, a 22 year old white female, had three outstanding warrants for possession of marijuana and two failure to appear warrants. The driver was arrested for the warrants and also posted bond on citations for illegal dumping and driving without a valid license.
Over the past two weeks, there has been a tremendous increase in home and business burglaries. In most of the cases, suspects entered through an unlocked door or window. Please lock your doors and windows. Make it harder for someone to target you as a victim of crime.
