" "Project Redirectory" a Success

The phonebook competition is now complete. Keep Abilene Beautiful presented a competition for local elementary school students to participate in a phone book recycling drive called "Project Redirectory." Students collected old phone books to be recycled. Over 20,000 phone books were recycled. Bowie Elementary collected the most phonebooks, recycling nearly 9,000 books. Mrs. Jenkins class at Bowie won a pizza party for collecting over 3,000 phonebooks.
