Polling taking place to help predict WI primary

DE PERE, Wis. --Telephone surveys are being conducted this week by St. Norbert College in DePere and Wisconsin Public Radio. They're taking the pulse Wisconsin voters ahead of the April 3rd primary.
More than 400 Republican voters throughout Wisconsin will be called to help predict the outcome of the election. The data is not solicited by any political party or candidate. It's strictly for informational purposes. Directors of the poll say they're one of the most accurate in the entire country.
"We started doing this poll in 1984 - every one of our pre-election polls have been at the mark in terms of the actual election," says St. Norbert's Strategic Research Institute Executive Director David Wegge.
Results won't be released until Thursday or Friday, but organizers say it's clearly a two-way race between Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum.
They're also gathering demographic information about participants, including age, gender, and religious background. Wegge says religion could play a critical role, as born-again Christians could make-or-break the election for certain candidates
