Campaign Signs Boost Lubbock Business

"Campaign season is good for our business," Advanced Graphix President, Steve Massengale said.
Right now, Advanced Graphix is making signs for about 20 election candidates running for various local and state offices.
"It's certainly a significant increase over the course of the business that we would normally experience," Massengale said.
Road signs can cost a candidate up to $120.
Yard signs range in price from $2 to $4 a piece and that doesn't include the cost of the metal stakes.
Massengale said his shop also makes buttons, t-shirts and banners too.
"An average order, I would say, is $1500 without doing the math, but there are very large orders and obviously, very small orders."
Take Glen Robertson for example.
He's running against Tom Martin for mayor.
Robertson's bought more than a thousand yard signs and spent about $11,000 doing it.
Mayor Martin said he's reusing signs from his previous campaigns, but he's placed an order for several hundred more.
