Witryol Running for NYS Senate

By: WROC-TV
Updated: March 30, 2012
Democrat Amy Witryol will challenge Republican incumbent George Maziarz for the 62nd district of the State Senate.

Witryol announced her candidacy Friday. Her primary motivation for running is economics, which she suggests Maziarz has dropped the ball on. Maziarz has served in the 62nd district for the past 18 years. Witryol is currently the only Democrat running for the seat.

The 62nd Senate district covers Niagara County, Orleans County, and parts of Monroe County.
