Joplin School Bond Passes By 47 Votes

JOPLIN, MO -- The $62 million Joplin school tax bond passes by 47 votes.

This means the school district will be able to repair or rebuild 10 schools in the district.

The school district needed 4,935 votes for the school bond to pass.

The school had 4,982 votes in favor of the bond and 3,655 votes against the the bond.

These numbers are from Newton and Jasper Counties and will affect 3,100 students in Joplin who are currently learning in temporary facilities.
