Bucshon taking to Phones, Encouraging Voting

By: Michael C. Fehn
Updated: April 6, 2012
Unregistered voters in Vanderburgh County may be getting a phone call from the Vanderburgh County Republican Party this weekend.

The Republican Party and the Bucshon For Congress Campaign will be making phone calls to unregistered voters this weekend, encouraging them to register before Monday's deadline.  They'll also be out in the community, hand-delivering voter registration forms.

Bucshon says, "Easter weekend is not a time for politicking or campaigning. However, because the voter registration deadline falls on Monday, I have directed my campaign to utilize all our available resources to encourage democracy with a voter registration drive. This isn't about me. This is about ensuring everyone has an opportunity to cast their ballot, for whomever they desire, in the upcoming election."
