More Than 20,000 Lost Photos in May Tornado Waiting to be Collected

CARTHAGE, MO -- More than 20,000 lost photos from the May 22nd tornado are still waiting to be collected

So far, members from the First Baptist Church in Carthage have returned 8,000 photos.

Pastor Thad Beeler says they started with about 32,000 and he estimates the church receives about 50 to 100 photos each week.

People even sent in a shipment of photos found in Willard, Missouri over 70 miles away.

To find your photos, the chuch will be bringing a digital catalog to the Joplin Library on Saturday, April 28th from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
