The smallest amount of rain can bring flooding to certain areas in Abilene and the Big Country.

This flooding is what caused the local recycling drop-off center at Buffalo Gap Road and Rebecca Lane to make improvements.

After customer complaints concerning muddy areas, they decided to pave the facility.

Since this work will take a few weeks, citizens are asked to drop off thier recelables at the drop-off center across from Wal-Mart on Southwest Drive.

Even though the rain has slowed some of their work, the Abilene Recycling Center is dedicated to serving our community.
