The Indiana primaries are less than a week away, the 8th district seat is one race drawing a lot of attention. Incumbent Larry Bucshon and challenger Kristi Risk are facing off..again. From healthcare, to job loss, to debt reduction both candidates have strong beliefs they say are right for Congress and right for Hoosiers. Bucshon and Risk say they're both solid conservatives who have broad views on where this country needs to go, they differ in many aspects but both agree that they're main goal is to take care of home.
Bucshon is completing his first term in Congress and he says he's got his eyes on a few problems facing the eighth district. They listed repealing Obamacare, keeping the U.S competitive in the global market, and spending government funds wisely high on their agendas. But Risk believes Bucshon is happy with the status quo kind of government. The last time these two met was during an open seat, eight candidate race, this time it is one on one. Risk is going to watch the election results with her constituents at the Eyecamp Scout Center in Evansville. Congressman Bucshon will be Washington on official business.
