According to Chili Super Bowl President Lavena Cheek, they have been able to give The Boys Ranch over a million dollars
in the 28 years the cook off has been happening.
Along with the Chili Cook Off, where over 60 cooks will compete for the best chili, there is also the World's Largest Chili Pot.
For the first time, the World's Largest Chili Pot is being cooked by the Abilene Firefighters Association.
The festivities start Friday night with a dance, for which admission is a donation. On Saturday there is another dance starting at 8:30 PM with a band, tickets are $10 per person, or $15 per couple and you can bring your own cooler.
Tickets for the Chili Cook Off are $2 at the gate. Chili, or any other food item, is extra.
