Players Talk About The Crosstown Showdown

The Abilene High Eagles and the Cooper Cougars are both ranked in the top 20.

The Eagles are 10th in class 5A with a 1 and 0 record. The Cougars are 16th in Class 4A with a 2 and oh record.

The showdown is not for a district title, but it is for city bragging rights, and that makes it worth winning.

The Eagles and the Cougars play for the 49th straight year on Friday night. Abilene High has won the last 5 meetings. The Cougars led the series with 30 victories.

The Crosstown Showdown is at Shotwell Stadium. They will kickoff at 7:30pm.
