AHS Standout Potts Scores 7 TDs for Tech

 Former Abilene Eagle Taylor Potts threw seven touchdowns to lead Texas Tech past Rice 55-10 Saturday. Texas Tech improved its record to 2-0 on the season.

Potts completed 36 of 57 passes for 456 yards. He used 13 different receivers through the course of the game. This marked his second consecutive 400-plus yard performance.

Former Abilene High teammates, Lyle Leong, caught three of Potts touchdown passes.

Potts seven TD passes fell one short of a school record set in 2003.
