Almost 50% of water used in Abilene is used for  landscapes alone. There is a way to cut back on the amount of water used.

Xeriscape enables you to save water, and reduce water bills, while maintaining a beautiful landscape.

Abilene has already done many landscapes with Xeriscape. Places such as the zoo, Johnston Elementary, the court house, and the health department.

Xeriscape aids in lowering your water bill, maintaining a beautiful lawn, and helping our environment. If you would like more information regarding Xeriscape then you can contact the Taylor County Extension Office.
