National Weather Service radio across the country broadcasts weather alerts and warnings along with non-weather related hazard information 24 hours a day.

By purchasing one of these radios you help stay safe as the radio broadcasts warnings and post-event information for all types of hazards, from tornadoes and floods to wildfires to hazardous material spills and even terrorist attacks if need be.

These radios, made by several vendors, are available from a variety of vendors including a Midland Radio All Hazards Radio that we recommend is available for purchase locally in Abilene at United Supermarkets.

The radios must be programmed with the codes for the counties where you live and you must select the local frequency for the weather radio. Below is a list of the transmitter locations and codes for counties in the Big Country.
