The Abilene High Eagles are getting ready for play in District 3-5A.

The Eagles finished off the non-district portion of their schedule with an exciting 34-29 victory over Tyler Lee on Friday night.

The Eagles rushed for 280 yards, and the defense forced 3 turnovers in the victory.

Head coach Steve Warren says his team needed a tough test before district play, and they got it from the Red Raiders.

Abilene High opens the 2009 District 3-5A season on the road against Burleson. Both the Eagles and the Elks are undefeated.
