Big Play Eagles

The Abilene High Eagles are back in action on Friday night in District 3-5A. The Eagles seem to have mastered the art of the big play in the early part of the year.
In 5 games, The Eagles have 14 scoring plays of 35 yards or better. 12 of those have come on the offensive side of the ball.
They aren't necessarily designed to all be big plays, but that's how it's working out.
Abilene High will honor the state title teams of the late 50's again tomorrow night by wearing the old gold for Homecoming. Abilene High is 9-1 in those jerseys since 1999.
The Eagles take on Ft. Worth Paschal in their homecoming game this year. Abilene High beat the Panthers by 78 points last year.
