Updated: October 4, 2009
McMurry sophomore quarterback Jake Mullin (Burleson, TX / BHS) helped break a 17-game losing streak by throwing for 311 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in a 45-21 home win over East Texas Baptist. Mullin, who was 29-for-40 and also rushed for a score, also helped McMurry beat ETBU for the first time since the Tigers revived their football program in 2000. Two of Mullin’s TD passes came in the second half to break open a 21-21 tie at halftime.
