McMurry is in the winner's circle for the 1st time since 2007 in college football.

Head coach Hal Mumme and his team snapped a 17-game losing streak with their victory over East Texas Baptist.

The defense put a shutout in the 2nd half, and the fighting Mummies are glad to have the monkey off their backs.

McMurry tries to make it 2-in-a-row on Saturday down in Brownwood. They take on 3-and-1 Howard Payne at 2 at Gordon Wood Stadium.
