The Brownwood Lions survived a tough non-district schedule to post a 4-1 record.

Despite a shaky 1st half start against Manor the Brownwood Lions picked up the 35-to-3 win to cap off the non-district season.

Now it's time for District 2-3A to start. When the lights turn on Friday night, everybody goes back to 0-and-0 for the district season which makes this time of year much more interesting.

The Wylie Bulldogs are the opponent for the Lions to start District 2-3A, and they will be another tough challenge for Brownwood.

Last Friday, wide receiver and defensive back Jaxon Shipley returned the lineup after going down in the preseason with a broken collarbone.

The 18th ranked Lions and the 4th ranked Bulldogs get together tomorrow night at Gordon Wood Stadium. The Bulldogs won last year's game, 31-28 in Abilene.
