Arkansas is beefing up election reporting online.
Tuesday's Arkansas primary election results will be on Secretary of State Mark Martin's website. County clerks can now submit results online as soon as the polls close. Before, they information wasn't called in until the end of the night when all the votes were counted.
The website will also show election results, voter turnout, and precinct results for every race.
"Usually, if you lived in a rural area, the only way to get your local election results that night was to go out to the local court house and listen to them," said Alex Reed, communications director for the secretary's office. "This way, in our office, we're going to have all the reports, all the races, from top to bottom, reported on our site. And that's something that's never been done before."
