The Cooper Cougars continued district play with a victory over Hereford and the defense led the charge.

The Cooper defense had given up 38 points and 428 yards a game in their final 4 non-district games this year.

They seemed to have turned it around against the Whitefaces. The Cougars "D" gave up just 273 yards and 2 scores, and they forced 3 turnovers.

A good performance for the defense after some tough weeks.

They hope to keep things rolling against San Angelo Lake View on Friday night.

The Cougars are back at Shotwell Stadium for the 1st time in almost a month.
