The Cooper Cougars earned their 3rd straight playoff berth, and they have the inside track to the District 4-4A title thanks to their hard fought 21-18 victory over Big Spring.

Ryan Heslep threw for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he rushed for another score.

Cooper head coach Mike Spradlin says it's 1 of the biggest, if not the biggest, win in his time as the Cougars head coach.

Cooper can win a share of the district title on Friday against the Frenship Tigers up in the Lubbock area. Cooper's only loss in Class 4A came to Frenship last year.
