The Texas Tech Red Raiders are trying another quarterback this week.

Taylor Potts was put back in the starting lineup in the Raiders loss to A&M after Steven Sheffield was injured, but Potts struggled and along came Seth Doege.

Doege didn't lead Tech to a come from behind victory on Saturday, but he looked good. Now, he is the new starter.

Saturday's start will be his first since his sophomore year at Crane High School.

Leach said this week that his team was distracted by their, quote, "fat little girlfriends", unquote.

Word has it that Doege's girlfriend recently lost weight.

Texas Tech hosts Kansas on Saturday.
