The ACU Wildcats are in a must-win situation for the rest of the season. The former number 1 ranked ACU Wildcats lost their 2nd straight game on Saturday to fall to 7 and 2 this season.
The Wildcats lost to Tarleton State 13 to 6 and failed to score a touchdowns for the 1st time since 2001.
ACU is now ranked 7th in the region, and they have to win their rest of their games to get into the NCAA Division II playoffs. Head coach Chris Thomsen says his team was in this situation 2 years ago, and they got the job done.
Texas A&M/Kingsville is next for the Wildcats. The Javelinas lead the Wildcats in the Lone Star Conference South Division by 1 games.
That game will kick at 2 at Shotwell Stadium.
