Louisiana Voting Hours to get Shorter

(Monroe, LA) Voters in Louisiana will have one less hour to vote on Election Days after approving a bill in the legislature.
Currently, poll hours are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. If Governor Bobby Jindal approves the bill, the new polling hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday elections. The change will start in 2013.
Opponents of the bill express concern that the shortened time could limit voting hours.
