Those delegates will formally commit to a national presidential candidate, the presumptive nominee being former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
The state convention starts tonight (Friday, June 1) in Springfield with workshops, and the actual convention business takes place Saturday at the Springfield Expo Center.
According to the official rules of the convention, one man and one woman will be elected to represent Missouri on the Republican National Committee. Then at-large and alternate delegates to the national convention will be chosen, two at-large Presidential Electors will be chosen, and eight Presidential Electors, one for each congressional district, will be approved.
The group will also adopt a platform.
