The Brownwood Lions are still alive in the Class 3A Div. II playoffs.

The Lions topped Dalhart to advance to the Area round. That victory was Brownwood's 1st playoff victory since 2006.

Quarterback Vance McShan led the charge for the Lions. He was 20 of 26 in the game for 256 yards with 2 touchdown passes. Head coach Bob Shipley says McShan is playing his football of the season.

Brownwood is back in action on Friday night in San Angelo against Seminole. That game kicks off at 7:30.
