A Big Country resident has created a program to make sure veterans worldwide are never forgotten.

Larry Farr, along with his wife, Sue, created the "Not Forgotten Coin" to fill a void left when their son died tragically in a hit and run accident. The coins are made to be given to veterans you may encounter. Offer them a coin to show your appreciation, and remind them that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

To start the program, Farr cashed in a portion of his life insurance policy to pay for the first coins. So far, 14,000 are in circulation.

If you are interested in receiving coins or giving a donation, please contact Larry Farr (325) 829- 2510.
